On friday 19th my family and I visited Filzmoos. It's a beautiful place with many hotels and appartments. You can go hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.
On this day we made a coach tour to the Oberhofalm. This was the first time, that I ever made a coach tour. Today i realised again what paradise Austria is.
Along the way to the Oberhofalm a very creative wood carver made some figures in tree stumps. How ever even if this is the most beautiful place on earth, there are so many idiots, which throw there ugly plastic bottles somewhere in the nature...
The coach tour lasted about 1 hour. You can also walk all the way or drive with your car (attention: there is an car toll!).
My mum reservated a table at the Oberhofalm.
(Funny fact: There are two alpine cabins the Oberhofalm and the Unterhofalm. Normally if two alpine cabins has the same name the cabin which is farther above has "Ober" and the other "Unter" in its name. But here the Oberhofalm is beneath the Unterhofalm.)
Our table was beautifully decorated and the food was exelent. They have 'frische Bauernmilch' from their neighbour, who is a farmer.
After lunch we decided to walk around a little bit. We choose the 'Großer Almsee-Rundweg'. You walk about an 3/4 hour (the small one is about 15 - 20 minutes). But if you have the time i definitelly recomend the big one! The lake is so beautiful and clear. We also saw a wedding at the lake.
After we finished our walk we went back to our carriage and started our way back to Filzmoos. It was such a beautiful day! Everything was perfect and we've planed to go hiking there this summer!
